Strengthening National TB M&E and Surveillance Systems: Tools for Understanding What to Aim For, Where to Start, and How to Get There
On June 29, 2023 TB DIAH staff introduced three of the essential tools developed by the project for the evaluation of different elements of M&E systems of national TB programs: the Assessment of Reporting Capacity (ARC), the M&E and Surveillance Systems Assessment (MESSA), and the Capacity Assessment Tool.
The webinar was especially designed for country-based and global USAID staff, NTP staff, and IPs interested in better understanding the strengths and areas for improvement in their TB M&E and surveillance system including TB human resources capacity, TB M&E system structure and governance, and the collection, analysis, and use of data for decision-making.
Participants left the webinar understanding what each of these tools measure, the types of data they generate, and how together those data can provide a complete picture of the status of a country’s TB M&E and surveillance system and inform their system strengthening plans.
