Joint Review of HIV, TB and PMTCT Programmes in South Africa: Main Report
Abstract: The National Department of Health (NDOH) commissioned a Joint Review of the HIV, TB and PMTCT Programmes to be undertaken in 2013. The main purpose of this independent Review, carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of South African and international reviewers, was to assess performance of the programmes and provide options for improvement. The focus of the Joint Review was on issues critical to effective delivery and impact of HIV, TB and PMTCT services - to assess progress made, identify challenges, and highlight best practices. The Review was also to recommend strategic and operational approaches for further scale-up, improvement of quality and increasing value for money of key HIV, TB and PMTCT services.
