Webinar | New Tools, Platforms and Resources for TB Data Capture, Visualization and Use
Abstract: The ability to make good TB programming decisions depends on decision makers and implementers having access to timely, easy-to-understand data from multiple sources in one place. On August 1, 2024, the TB DIAH project hosted a webinar introducing USAID Mission staff, National TB Program staff, and interested implementing partners to several new platforms developed in partnership with the governments of Nigeria and Zambia to support access to high-quality TB data in those countries.

Representatives from Nigeria’s National TB and Leprosy Control Program (NTBLCP) and Zambia’s National TB Program shared their experience designing and implementing a TB Situation Room (TBSR) in their countries’ context. Additionally, a member of the TB DIAH team in Nigeria shared updates on the Automatic Partners Progress Report (APPR), developed to support USAID/Nigeria.

Finally, TB DIAH introduced the TBSR Implementation and Management Guide, a how-to resource for anyone from program managers and service providers to policymakers and donors. Participants left the webinar understanding what a TBSR is, some of the steps and challenges involved in establishing and maintaining one, and how it can be used to improve TB programming by supporting the review, analysis, and interpretation of TB data in as near to real-time as possible.
