USAID helps the Kyrgyz Republic combat tuberculosis through comprehensive data use and evidence
This June, TB DIAH worked with the Kyrgyz Republic’s National TB Program (NTP) to use the project’s Data-to-Action Continuum (D2AC) to identify where the NTP resides on a continuum of data use for evidenced-based decision making. The goal was to help the NTP better use existing TB data to improve its programs’ performance in the areas of screening, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Twenty-six NTP staff were introduced to the D2AC conceptual framework. The group conducted a self-assessment to identify gaps in the NTP’s data use and crafted priority recommendations for improving the agency’s use of data and evidence in its TB program management.
