Assessment of Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis Capacity Tool
The Assessment of Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis Capacity (ARC) tool is designed to assist USAID Missions and national TB programs (NTPs) with mapping the readiness and capacity of the current TB monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and surveillance system to generate, report, analyze, and use the data generated to improve the TB situation in their country.
Based on the PBMEF, the ARC tool systematically reviews the TB data that are generated against the indicators in the framework and identifies the strengths and gaps in the surveillance system—a critical first step in developing a comprehensive landscape analysis of a country’s TB M&E and surveillance system.
The ARC tool findings from each country are compiled in a report with in-depth analysis and visuals (available with a password on the TB DIAH Data Hub) for USAID and NTPs to use to identify gaps in TB data generation and reporting and to inform the development of each country’s PBMEF implementation plans. The data will also serve as a baseline for future assessments, to be conducted approximately every two years.
